The only thing that keeps me sane
  is the knowledge that our child
 will laugh as the sea plunges through its teeth.
      Her vocation will be that of figurehead, always
   going before you to chart a course.

Love for her mother
will consume every cell in her body
& exceed any description of "intensity" available in dictionaries. It will be accompanied by a hunger for justice and amazement surpassing any other ever known on the face of the earth. 
 
And this fiery combination will prevail over all opposition.
